London Gynae Cancer Care is headed by Mr Rahul Nath, one of the UK’s leading specialists in gynaecological oncology. Mr Nath graduated in medicine at the University of Wales College of Medicine, and subsequently continued his training at hospitals in the West Midlands and London, specialising in obstetrics and gynaecology. He obtained a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) from King’s College, London, for his research into human papillomavirus (HPV). He has been a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology since 2002, and was appointed a Fellow of the College in 2015. Mr Nath has specialised training in both open and minimal access (‘keyhole’) surgical procedures for gynaecological cancers, in addition to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as colposcopy and vulvoscopy.
Mr Nath is currently a consultant at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and also practises at the Lister, London Bridge, and Portland Hospitals. He is the network Lead for Gynaecological Cancer for the South East London Accountable Clinical Network, and the Multidisciplinary Lead for Gynaecological Cancer at guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He is also Clinical Director for Women’s Services and Joint Clinical Academic Group Lead at King’s Health Partners.
Mr Nath has research interests in the fields of HPV and the management of preinvasive cervical and vulval disease and ovarian cancer, and has published widely in respected academic journals. He has also presented numerous papers at international and national scientific meetings.
